Our Special Needs Ministry exists to create a space where individuals with special needs can participate, build relationships, and grow—while families can feel confident their loved one is understood, supported, and cared for.

This isn’t about fitting people into a program. It’s about meeting people where they are and walking with them in a way that’s respectful, thoughtful, and personal.

Finding the Right Fit

This ministry is designed for individuals who:

  • Can participate in a group environment with volunteer support
  • Benefit from structure, routine, and relational care
  • Do not require continuous medical supervision or intensive one-on-one clinical care during the service

If you’re not sure whether this is the right fit, we’d love to talk with you before your first visit.

What We Can Support

Our team is prepared to support:

  • Sensory sensitivities and the need for calmer environments
  • Behavioral or communication differences within a group setting
  • Clear routines, visual cues, and patient, caring interaction
  • Basic personal needs with guidance from families (as appropriate)
  • A welcoming, respectful, and safe experience

We work best when we partner with families and understand each person’s needs ahead of time.

Pre-Register Before You Arrive

Pre-registering helps us understand your loved one’s needs and prepare our team and environment. When you register, you can share:

  • Important medical or safety considerations
  • Sensory, behavioral, or communication needs
  • Triggers, calming strategies, or helpful routines
  • Anything else that will help us care well for your family member

Frequently Asked Questions

That’s okay. We know not every day looks the same. Our team will respond with patience and care, and we’ll send you a text if we need your help or if a break is the best option in the moment.

We are not able to offer medical care, therapy, or one-on-one clinical supervision. Our team is not trained to handle complex medical needs or behaviors that could put the individual or others at risk. If you’re unsure whether your needs fit, we’re happy to talk and help you figure out the best path forward.

In some cases, yes—depending on availability and the specific needs involved. We do our best to match support wisely and safely, but we can’t guarantee one-on-one support every week. We’ll always communicate clearly about what’s possible.

We serve individuals across different age groups, and support may look different depending on the ministry area (kids, students, or adults). We’ll help you find the best environment for your family member.
